Adrian Englefield has a passion for assisting primary producers learn new skills and improve production systems through adoption of research and development outcomes.
Adrian was introduced to farming at a young age – growing up and managing his family’s vineyard near Robinvale (in North-West Victoria) for 10 years. This first-hand experience gave great insights into how farmers seek and adopt information from various sources.
Adrian held the position of Development Officer – Viticulture with the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries based at Wagga Wagga from August 2015 to March 2020. The role involved providing viticulture extension services across 15 diverse NSW wine-growing regions.
In March 2020 Adrian started as the Regional Extension Manager – South-East Australia and is looking forward to the challenge of working across many horticulture industries including turf, processing tomato, vegetables and soil health.
Adrian has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Viticulture), Bachelor of Applied Science (Wine Science) and is currently studying for a Master of Business Administration at Charles Sturt University.
