2026 APEN Conversations
APEN Conversations are member-only virtual discussions held on Zoom. Each session brings members together to explore a topic in extension practice, sharing experiences, asking questions, and learning from each other. They run every two months from May to November, and they're free for all members.

About the Facilitator
Ebony Faichney
Ebony is an extension professional based in Mareeba, far north Queensland, working closely with the horticulture sector. With experience across government, peak bodies and her own business, she brings a grounded, farmer-first perspective to her work. She is almost a decade into her career and has navigated extension through a period when the role itself has been shifting and the title is increasingly hard to find.

APEN webinars are online learning sessions on Zoom, running every two months from June to October. Each session features a presenter working in extension, with time for questions and discussion. Webinars are free for members, visit the members area to access your complimentary registration code. Non-members are welcome to attend for $40 + GST.

Cynthia is a leadership coach, facilitator, and author of Cultivate: How Neuroscience and Well-being Support Rural Leaders to Thrive.
