Should I be there?
YES! As you probably know, when extension professionals convene a conference - the bar is raised a whole lot higher! The opportunity to showcase our skills, be challenged by our peers and experience new techniques is irresistible. This is your chance to learn from others and share your experiences involved with shaping change in communities. APEN conferences are a unique professional development and capacity building opportunity tailored to our own very specific set of requirements - this is a 'must-attend' event for anyone involved in shaping, creating and managing change in communities and industry.
While the APEN network has its roots in agriculture and rural communities, change managers and extension practitioners can be found throughout a diverse range of sectors. For this reason, anyone responsible for shaping change in communities across agriculture, natural resource management, health, education, local government, transport, sport and recreation are encouraged to attend.
Tell your managers now: There is no better way to enhance your professional skills and therefore deliver improved services to your clients than to learn and share with others.
